A wonderful hand drawn and inked print of Greve de Lecq Barracks, Jersey.
All Jersey scenes are inspired not only by their history and character but by the beautiful surroundings. I cannot paint a Jersey scene without delving into its history and finding out more about it. You might find it interesting too.
The only surviving barracks on the North coast, these are an excellent example of a self-contained military unit which includes two prison cells, an ablution block and staff quarters. Built to defend the Island against the French.
