Looking after a loved one who is so special in your life, suffering Dementia or Alzheimer’s, you do anything for them, to support them at home, working as a team with your siblings and family, preventing the hard hit of reality when they have to be placed into care. All the props start to crumble, links fall apart. The whole situation which worked before, prior to further deterioration, is no longer viable. You are trying everything but you know the time has come. The yellow and red ‘road’ represents the progress of the disease whose lettering is actually holding up that road. It is in control and you have no control over it.
