All Jersey scenes are inspired not only by their history and character but by the beautiful surroundings. I cannot paint a Jersey scene without delving into its history and finding out more about it. You might find it interesting too.

A farm complex consisting of 3 houses named after the families who lived there – Hamptonne House, Syvret Building and Langlois Building. Each house dates from a different century and as King Charles 2nd, in 1649, granted the owner, Laurens Hamptonne, the status of Fier and manor, this means that the property could never be divided. It is whole indeed and an amazing, unique country life museum.

This place is amazing, full of history which is happily passed on to anyone who visits. It is a living, working museum and a valued part of Island history.
