All Jersey scenes are inspired not only by their history and character but by the beautiful surroundings. I cannot paint a Jersey scene without delving into its history and finding out more about it. You might find it interesting too.

This site was used to place a battery of guns then in 1835 the Martello tower was built which was used during WW2 by the Germans who built a large bunker beside it which today houses the Channel Islands Military Museum. They also built a concrete extension at the tower base which housed a searchlight.

Anything historical and granite with a beautiful view surrounding it invites a painting.
