Built in St. Ouen in the 1930’s, this is the last of the seaside follies. Requisitioned in WW2 it was used as a canteen by machine gun battalion 16. After the war, it was a speech therapy clinic, then used by the Scout Association, restored in 2005 and is now rented as a holiday let by Jersey Heritage.

Surrounded by long wafty grasses and superb views, along with many other landmarks, Barge Aground helps define the whole of St. Ouens bay which has an abundance of historical buildings.
